Dictionary of Style

What’s the proper name of the School of Medicine's library? For that matter, what's the formal name of the School of Medicine? Is an event campuswide or campus-wide?

UCLA University Communications has put together a manual of style for use by writers and editors across campus, focusing on common questions and concerns. This Dictionary of Style is available as a PDF file.

You can download the style manual to your local computer or print out a copy. (We suggest downloading, because then you can use the built-in bookmarks.) Comments and suggestions are welcome; send to today@support.ucla.edu.

The manual is a PDF file; we recommend you download it to your computer. If you don’t have the free Adobe Acrobat software that allows you to read PDF files, it's available from the Adobe web site.
